Hilton has signed on a new luxury beachfront resort in Portugal’s popular Algarve region that will open in spring 2027.

Conrad Meia Praia Algarve will bring 116 guest rooms and suites to this southernmost coastal area of Portugal, as well as 21 branded residences. The resort is located a short drive from the town of Lagos on Meia Praia beach.

Dan Wakeling, vice president, development, luxury and residential for Europe, Middle East & Africa at Hilton, said the new property “represents a key milestone in Hilton’s luxury growth strategy across Europe.”

“This exceptional beachfront resort will add to our expanding range of Conrad properties across the region and offer guests a new way to experience a luxury stay in one of Portugal’s most popular destinations,” Wakeling said. “We’re delighted to be working with the joint-venture between PGIM Real Estate, Sonae Sierra and Iberian Hospitality Solutions (IHSP) and their experienced development team to bring this vision to life.”

Conrad Meia Praia Algarve’s accommodations will all offer sea views, and seven will have private plunge pools. The property will also feature two restaurants, a beach club, lobby and pool bars, indoor and outdoor pools, a spa, a fitness center, and event spaces.
