On Tuesday, Marriott’s W Hotels opened its newest property the W Costa Navarino, the first W Hotel in Greece.

The hotel is set on a 32-acre site that includes 1,500 feet of shoreline overlooking the Bay of Navarino, a small bay of the Ionian Sea in the Mediterranean Sea.

The property will exclusively welcome adults and “young adults,” over 12 years old, which W Hotels says “introduces a place that fosters creativity, individuality, and freedom of expression.”

“Set against the unparalleled beauty of the Mediterranean, we are thrilled to introduce W Hotels to Greece with the opening of W Costa Navarino,” said Benoit Racle, Vice President, Brand Management, W Hotels Worldwide.

“From upcycling materials to a bioclimatic design, W Costa Navarino features sophisticated architecture that leans into the broader sustainability efforts of the coastal enclave, presenting international travelers and local tastemakers an opportunity to capture the energy of Mediterranean culture. World-class dining and immersive programming celebrate authentic Mediterranean culture, promising an unforgettable, one-of-a-kind experience at W Costa Navarino.”

For lodging, the hotel offers standard guestrooms, suites, and villas, all with décor inspired by Greek artisans, including neutral tones with pops of color. Rooms range from the Wonderful guest room (a single king bed and sofa bed with a marina view and balcony) to the Fabulous Infinity Swim up (one king with access to the hotel’s pool just outside the terrace), to the WOW Infinity three-bedroom villas with its own private pool.

For food and drink, W Costa Navarino offers Platia, a Greek food market that includes four different grab-and-go outlets including coffee-hub The Café, the Deli Store for some light bites, the Bakery, and the open-style kitchen the Cookery.

There’s also Between, a cocktail and light dinner eatery with a menu focused on raw food including oysters, clams, and caviar, and Parelia, a destination beach club that offers contemporary Greek Mediterranean cuisine, cocktails, and DJs playing a mix of genres and live music throughout the day.

As part of its beach club essence, the hotel also includes The Escape, a nightclub that will feature a diverse range of music programming, including house, disco, tribal, and more played by some international and local DJs. W Lounge is part of The Escape and offers a “globally inspired” menu alongside a range of cocktails.
