Each year brings a new crop of exciting hotels entering the market. From the uber-luxurious to the cutting-edge, here’s a roundup of 15 new properties that will open around the world in 2020.

The Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle (France)

Guests can live like the opulent Marie Antoinette at the hotel opening within the grounds of the Palace of Versailles. The Airelles Château de Versailles, Le Grand Contrôle is a collection of 14 luxury rooms and suites with authentic decor that has been restored. It is situated just a stone’s throw from Versailles’ famous Hall of Mirrors and overlooks the Orangerie at Versailles, with the stretch of water known as the Pièce d’Eau des Suisses. Opening spring 2020.

Aman New York (New York)
Aman will bring its unique blend of serenity and luxury to Manhattan – the urban sanctuary will be a departure for the hotel group that’s known for its idyllic hotels in remote setting. Its 83 rooms and suites, along with Aman’s first urban residences, will be housed within the Crown Building, with luxury amenities like a wraparound Garden Terrace overlooking Central Park and its trademark spa spanning three stories with an indoor swimming pool surrounded by fire pits and daybeds as its centerpiece. Opening in 2020.

Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley (California)
The resort is a wine lovers paradise with a Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard and on-site winery for the ultimate grape-to-glass experience. Surrounded by hundreds of acres of vineyards, framed by forests and mountains, the 85 rustic-yet-elegant villas will be the perfect wine-country getaway. Opening summer 2020.

Nobu Hotel Chicago (Illinois)

Nobu will open its latest outpost in Chicago’s vibrant West Loop neighborhood. Stunning architecture and 115 rooms and suites will blend old-world Japanese influences with ultra-modern design. Food and beverage offerings, the heart of the brand, include a signature Nobu restaurant, Sushi Bar, and The Rooftop at Nobu Hotel Chicago (with an indoor lounge and outdoor terrace). Opening in early 2020.

One&Only Portonovi (Montenegro)

As the first One&Only resort in Europe, what better destination is there than where mountains meet the Adriatic Sea? In the heart of Boka Bay, this coastal retreat has 140 rooms and villas, each boasting mesmerizing views, with Venetian-inspired architecture that meets state-of-the-art design. Opening spring 2020.

Rosewood São Paulo (Brazil)

The historic 1904 building in the heart of Cidade Matarazzo has been transformed into a vertical park, with flowers, plants, and trees off-shooting from the building’s façade. Inside, 151 guestrooms and 122 owners’ suites are complemented with two swimming pools with one rooftop pool and a large spa with six treatment rooms and a fitness area. Opening in 2020.

Miraval Berkshires (Massachusetts)
The third full-fledged Miraval resort is set on 380 acres in Lenox, designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, the famous landscape architect who created New York’s Central Park. Indoor walkways will ensure guests can enjoy the property year-round. At the central hilltop, Tudor-style Wyndhurst Mansion will be home to 148 rooms and suites. There will be no shortage of mindful wellness experiences, including the brand’s signature transformative equine experiences; the Life in Balance Culinary Kitchen; and the Body Mindfulness Center featuring state-of-the-art fitness equipment, daily classes, yoga, and Pilates. Opening May 2020.

Six Senses New York (New York)

Six Senses will open its flagship North American hotel with two twisting towers rising above The High Line and the Hudson River in Manhattan’s West Chelsea neighborhood. The 137-key hotel will showcase its approach to wellness through its culinary offerings at two restaurants and treatments at the Six Senses Spa. Opening in early 2020.

Waldorf Astoria Bali (Indonesia)

A cliff-front location promises dramatic views from the 96 luxurious villas across the sprawling estate, ranging from one-bedroom villas to six-bedroom suite villas. Rounding out the luxury amenities are two specialty restaurants, a destination bar, outdoor sea-facing pool with a beach club, and a private beach. Opening in 2020.

Rosewood Little Dix Bay (British Virgin Islands)

The beachside retreat was reimagined for today’s ultra-luxury traveler, following a four-year closure. The relaunch will see the addition of 80 new guestrooms, suites and villas, including Tree House Suites and One-Bedroom Pool Suites set along the resort’s pristine, half-mile crescent beach, which is considered to be one of world’s finest in the world. New dining concepts for the resorts’ three outdoor restaurants include Caribbean and farm-to-table fare. Opening January 2020.

Xigera Safari Lodge (Botswana)

Sprawled under a beautiful canopy of ancient trees, with uninterrupted views over the floodplain, Xigera Safari Lodge’s 12 suites reimagine the safari experience. Each suite showcases a curated collection of bespoke furniture and sculptures by more than 30 African artists and craftsmen. Located on the western side of the Moremi Game Reserve in the heart of the Okavango Delta, the property may be the largest solar farm in the area, enabling the lodge to be 100% solar powered, and with thermodynamic geysers to provide hot water with minimal energy use. Opening June 2020.

Arctic Bath (Sweden)

A hotel and wellness oasis floating in the heart of Swedish Lapland, Arctic Bath offers an experience unlike any other. Guests are encouraged to embrace the local coldbath culture with warming and relaxing saunas. Scandinavian design can be found in the cabins, floating double hotel rooms, and a restaurant that serves a menu based on local and fresh food. Opening January 2020.

The Londoner (England)

At the Londoner, six subterranean levels house five restaurants and lounges, two Odeon cinemas, a banqueting suite, and a spa. Above ground, the West End hotel has 350 rooms including 15 suites, each with unique views of the cityscape, and a rooftop bar. Opening June 2020.

Kozmo Hotel Budapest (Hungary)

A renovated historic building that combines historical elements with modern and classic design, the interior will host high ceilings, antique picture frames, and crown moldings. With 64 rooms and 20 suites, an expansive wellness space, and restaurant, the hotel pledges a modern interpretation of classic luxury. Opening May 2020.

Castello di Reschio (Italy)

A grand estate huddled amidst the rolling green hills of Umbria, rooms come courtesy of nine bespoke farmhouses dotted across a 13,400-acre landscape. Each one has been exquisitely renovated, with vintage furniture complementing the original stone. Guests can spend their days feasting on locally inspired dishes at the Alle Scuderie restaurant, wine tasting, truffle and mushroom foraging, or horseback riding with Andalusian horses at the Equestrian Centre.
