The newest Margaritaville Resort has officially opened its doors.

Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye, Belize, welcomed its first guests this week. The resort, which is a Karisma resort, is located just north of San Pedro in Belize, reachable by private boat transfer. The property offers access to a beach and closeness to the second largest coral reef in the world.

“We are thrilled to welcome our first guests to Margaritaville Beach Resort Ambergris Caye,” said Daniel Lozano, Vice President of Operations at Karisma Hotels & Resorts. “This family-friendly, sustainable resort invites guests to immerse themselves in a beautiful off-the-beaten-path destination while still enjoying a luxury vacation experience.”

The resort offers 55 suites inspired by the locale, ranging from 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom layouts to a 2-bedroom penthouse suite with a wraparound terrace. Most accommodations sport their views of the Caribbean Sea or the lush mangrove outside.

All the rooms feature Margaritaville’s signature Adirondack chairs, air conditioning, ceiling fans, a smart TV, and a combination of king beds, queen beds, and pull-out sofa beds. Some of the suites also feature a private, complete kitchen.

For food and drink, the resort includes Riddles in the Sand, offering island-inspired eats; Sun Baked BBQ, which offers BBQ food; The Sandbar, an indoor lounge, and bar; and The Boat Drinks, a poolside drink spot.

The resort also features BBQ pits in its tranquil area, where guests can utilize a BBQ available throughout the resort. Guests can also have a resort chef cook on the pits for them.

Elsewhere, the resort also has the Margaritaville St. Somewhere Spa, which features individual treatment “bungalows,”   for solo or couple treatment. The spa menu includes treatments such as local fruit Body Scrub, Gingerita Body Scrub, or a Watermelon Basil Vodkatini Pedicure.

For activities, the resort offers access to Ambergris Caye with some on-site activities including snorkeling, deep-sea fishing, non-waterized water sports, and more. On-property, there’s also a chance for guests to play cornhole, and pickleball, have beachside bonfires, or participate in culinary and mixology classes.
