Tailor-made tour operator Goway has appointed Toronto-based Dean Moore as the new chief operating officer.

Moore has a proven track record in the global travel industry, having served C-suite roles at multiple companies. At Thomas Cook, he served as chief operating officer from 2008 to 2012, before being upped to the CEO role, which he held from 2012 to 2013. Moore was subsequently the president and CEO at iTravel2000 from 2015 to 2016.

Over the years, Moore has led teams in the UK, Ireland, Europe, and North America for global brands, increasing operational efficiency, scaling businesses, and fostering innovative, performance-driven cultures.

In his new role at Goway, Moore will strengthen the leadership team and contribute to the company’s continued strategic growth.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Dean to the Goway family,” says Bruce Hodge, Goway’s Founder & President. “We’ve been successfully growing for 55 years, and innovation has always been core to our strategy. It’s essential that we have the infrastructure and organizational capacity to support growth and operate a diverse travel portfolio on a global scale. Dean is a passionate leader with a fire in his belly. As COO, he will forge the path for another 55 years of success.”

Hodge will remain Goway’s president, while Moore will oversee daily operations at the family-owned company.

Last year, Goway unveiled a major rebrand as part of its 55th anniversary celebration.

“I’m excited to join a company with an exceptional reputation for quality and service,” says Dean Moore. “Goway’s recent success and future plans make this an exciting time to come onboard. I look forward to partnering with Bruce and the talented team at Goway to grow the company and build on its globetrotting legacy.”
