Intrepid Travel Offering Deals on Increasingly In-Demand Short Breaks

New data from Intrepid Travel underscores a continued shift in traveller behaviour, with increasing demand for shorter, more frequent getaways.

Intrepid’s research revealed 50% of past customers would consider taking a shorter trip and is offering  15% off sale on its Short Breaks range, available for bookings made April 1–13, 2026, for travel through December 14, 2026.

“For advisors looking to drive bookings this quarter, Short Breaks are an incredibly effective option,” said Caroline Tinsley, Head of Partnerships for Canada at Intrepid Travel. “Canadians are increasingly looking to maximize their time off, and these shorter trips make it easier to commit, especially when built around long weekends and limited vacation days.”

Avalon says that for travel advisors, short-duration itineraries are emerging as a strong and practical sell. These trips are typically easier to plan and book, appeal to a broader client base, and can act as a gateway to longer, higher-value journeys. As clients balance limited vacation time with a desire to travel more, shorter trips offer a compelling solution, delivering immersive experiences without requiring a significant time commitment.

Intrepid’s Short Breaks—typically four to six days in duration—are structured around long weekends and key travel periods, making them highly adaptable to modern schedules. The format allows travellers to maximize time away while still experiencing the depth associated with longer itineraries.

Advisors can offer clients 15% off the following itineraries:

  • Vienna Short Break
  • Costa Rica Short Break: La Fortuna
  • Prague Short Break: City & Beyond
  • Paris and Normandy Short Break
  • Tikal Guatemala And Belize Short Break
  • Acatenango Volcano Hike &
  • Antigua Short Break
  • Venice and Treviso Short Break
  • Mexico City Short Break
