Kimpton Confirms Data Breach
Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants said it discovered malware on servers that process payment cards used at some of its hotels.
The InterContinental Hotels Group-owned brand said on Wednesday that the malware was designed to track card number, cardholder name, expiration date and internal verification code. The data breach involved cards used between Feb. 16 and July 7, at some of Kimpton’s properties. A full list of affected hotels and restaurants was posted on its website.
Kimpton said it resolved the issue and will continue to work with cyber security firms and law enforcement.
