Hackers Stole Credit Card Data From More Than A Dozen Trump Hotels

by Jessica Montevago  July 12, 2017

Fourteen Trump Hotels have joined the list of hotels involved in a Sabre data breach that also affected Four Seasons and Google employees.

The breach targeted Sabre Hospitality Solutions, the service the Trump Hotels use for booking reservations. Hackers accessed guest names, addresses and phone numbers, as well as credit card numbers and expiration dates, between August 2016 and March 2017, according to a notice on the company’s site.

The properties affected include: Trump Central Park; Trump Chicago; Trump Doonberg; Trump Doral; Trump Las Vegas; Trump Panama; Trump Soho; Trump Toronto; Trump Turnberry; Trump Vancouver; Trump Waikiki; Trump DC; Trump Rio de Janeiro; and Albemarle Estate.

This is the third time the luxury hotel chain has been the victim of a data breach. Hackers breached Trump hotels’ payment processing system in May 2014, and again less than a year ago leaving more than 70,000 credit card numbers exposed.

Sabre previously issued a statement  saying it has “notified and been working with certain customers and partners that use or interact with Sabre Hospitality Solutions’ (SHS) SynXis Central Reservations system (SHS reservation system) about our previously disclosed incident of unauthorized access.”

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts said it was also affected by the security breach at Sabre’s SynXis Central Reservations System.
