Kensington has announced new tours that expand its Food & Wine Collection in response to demand for culinary-led travel.
The luxury tour operator has unveiled a series of new sample itineraries across Greece, Croatia, Portugal, Morocco, Peru, Italy, and Japan that pair iconic sights with immersive local food and cultural experiences. Developed with insights from Kensington’s network of Destination Experts, the journeys are designed to take travelers beyond traditional tourist attractions through activities such as home cooking, vineyard visits, market tours, and meals with local communities, reflecting growing interest in travel centered on authentic cultural connections.
“Food is one of the most authentic ways to understand a place because it reflects history, geography, traditions, and community all at once,” said Helen Giontsis, president, Kensington. “The experiences travelers remember most are often the ones they didn’t know to look for and often revolve around food and culture; a neighborhood cafe where locals gather, or a family-owned winery. It helps travelers move beyond simply seeing a place and begin to truly understand its history, culture and people.”
The new sample itineraries in the Food & Wine Collection include:
- Greece: A Taste of Island Life – Sifnos & Paros
- Croatia: Croatia Island Hopping Adventure
- Portugal & Morocco: Lisbon, Marrakech and Atlas Mountains
- Peru: Taste of Peru – Icons & Culinary Immersion
- Italy: La Dolce Sardinia – Unwind in Style
- Japan: Flavors of Northern Japan – Tokyo to Hokkaido
Kensington’s Food & Wine Collection also includes preexisting culinary-focused itineraries in popular destinations like France, New Orleans, and Vietnam.
