Rosen Hotels & Resorts has become the latest hotel chain to be hit with a data breach.
The Orlando-based chain said it discovered the breach last month after a string of guests reported unauthorized charges on their credit cards. It’s now warning customers to monitor their accounts and report any suspicious activity.
A cyber security team found malware on the company’s payment system, leaving cardholder names, numbers, expiration dates, and verification codes at risk. Anyone who used a credit card at one of Rosen’s seven properties between September 2014 and February 2016 could be affected.
In the past few months, Kalahari Resorts, Hilton, and Trump Hotels also have been victims of data breaches.
