Travel MarketPlace Returns to Vancouver After Successful Debut

Alaska Senator Dan Sullivan is threatening B.C.’s cruise industry.

In just over a week, Canadian travel advisors will gather at the JW Marriott Parq Vancouver Hotel for the second annual Travel MarketPlace Vancouver.

The event, taking place on Feb. 20 and 21, will provide the education, training and networking opportunities agents need to grow their businesses; as well as a chance to learn from dynamic industry and motivational speakers on a host of topics, ranging from marketing and social media to insurance and fraud.

More than 250 agents are expected to attend the event, which will feature 50 exhibitors, providing a unique opportunity to network with suppliers and fellow agents.

For those who wish to take advantage of this opportunity, some tickets are still available, but space is limited, so event organizers recommend that interested agents act quickly. Click here for registration and here for more details on the program.

In addition to a trade show and cocktail reception, attendees will be able to participate in a host of educational workshops and breakout seminars, including “Involvement & Engagement” by Mary Jane Hiebert, general manager, Canada One Travel; “Work/Life Balance” by Louise Gardiner, senior director associate program Canada, Carlson Wagonlit Travel; and “The Art of Crafting the Perfect Social Media Post” by Sandra McLemore, travel industry expert and host.

Additional sessions will focus on earning loyalty with the affluent traveler; generating more business from social media; developing an effective brand strategy, and more.

Other exciting opportunities include a masterclass on “How to Create Videos for Travel Entrepreneurs,” by Anthony McLemore, Hollywood TV producer and director; and on “Attracting and Retaining a High-Performing Team,” by Geraldine Ree, Travel Market Report’s own executive director, Canada.

Travel Market Report introduced Travel MarketPlace Vancouver following the success of its Travel MarketPlace Toronto shows over the past five years. This year’s Toronto show will be held on June 12 -13 at The Delta Hotels Toronto Airport & Conference Center.
