Melissa Wright is taking on a Vice President role at Acclaim Meetings.

Acclaim Meetings, the leading travel event planning division of American Marketing Group (AMG), has appointed Melissa Wright to the newly created position of vice president.

Wright brings more than 30 years of industry experience to the role. She was previously the vice president of business development at TRAVELSAVERS, another division of AMG, where she spent the past 16 years partnering with member agencies to grow their business.

“Melissa is the perfect leader for Acclaim as the company expands by leaps and bounds,” said Chief Sales Officer Kathryn Mazza-Burney. “In her TRAVELSAVERS role, she innovated to position us for future growth, built deep relationships, and enhanced the success of our agencies. Melissa will now bring her strong management skills and stellar record of achievement to Acclaim to further develop this significant part of our business.”

Acclaim Meetings has provided the travel industry event planning services, such as global trade shows, conventions, conferences and meetings, since 2008. The company prides itself on helping empower travel agencies, suppliers, and meeting planners to boost their revenue and visibility.

“Acclaim is at a pivotal moment in its history,” Wright said. “With demand for travel events and professional development climbing sharply, we’re aiming to channel this momentum into sustainable growth. At the same time, we’ll continue to deliver exceptional experiences to our attendees and partners while continuously enhancing our industry conferences and meetings.”
