The Israel Ministry of Tourism has appointed Yoash Ben Izhak as senior deputy director-general for marketing.
Ben Izhak brings extensive experience to the role, in which he will lead the division of marketing, branding, and promotion to boost tourism interest in both the local and international markets. Izhak was previously the director-general of marketing, communications, and community relations at Israel Railways.
“Yoash’s rich experience in the worlds of marketing and public information, alongside his deep familiarity with the public and business sectors, will contribute to strengthening the Ministry’s activity,” said Director-General of the Ministry of Tourism Michael Itzhakov, “and to the continued promotion of Israel as a leading tourist destination in the world, in the challenging period of tourism recovery after the war.”
“I’m grateful for the trust given in me and am excited to join the ranks of the Ministry of Tourism,” Ben Izhak said. “Tourism is a significant growth engine of the Israeli economy, and I intend to work to strengthen the ‘Israel’ brand and to lead innovative moves that will strengthen inbound tourism and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the sector.”
