InterContinental Boston has appointed Dana Miller as its new director of sales and marketing.
Miller has more than 12 years of leadership experience at luxury hotels, including about a decade at InterContinental Boston, one of the city’s upscale waterfront hotels. General Manager Bradford Rice said Miller has made “a profound impact” on the property.
“His love of, belief in, and excitement for this hotel is unwavering. Miller is the epitome of the core pillars that guide our team – a deep understanding of our guests, attention to detail, intentionality, and a passion for excellence in a setting that embraces Boston culture and heritage,” Rise said. “His ability to inspire those around him and cultivate success is truly unmatched, and we look forward to the legacy that we know he will shape for the hotel in this new role.”
Miller began his hospitality career in 2009 as a regional sales manager at Hilton Worldwide Regional Sales and then joined InterContinental Boston’s group sales team.
From there, Miller spent two years as general manager of the Lighthouse Inn in West Dennis, Mass., before returning to InterContinental Boston in February 2020 as the assistant director of group sales. He’s since risen the ranks to director of group sales and director of sales, generating more than $16.5 million in rooms and $15 million in banquet revenue annually. In his new role, Miller will oversee all aspects of sales, marketing, and commercial strategy at InterContinental Boston.
