The Boeing 737, which has been in production since 1968, is the most popular passenger airplane model of all time. As of the end of 2021, Boeing has delivered 10,877 737s over the last half-decade or so. The model did suffer reputational damage because of two fatal accidents in 2018 and 2019.

The Boeing 737 beat out the Airbus A320 but just a few hundred deliveries.—Airbus has delivered 10.176 of the A320s since starting production of them in 1986.
