Tailor-made tour operator Audley Travel is introducing trips in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, two of Central Asia’s most captivating and contrasting destinations.
Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are located in the heart of Central Asia, in a region famed for its Silk Road heritage and natural beauty. Uzbekistan is renowned for its majestic monuments and ancient cities, while Kyrgyzstan offers a mountainous landscape with breathtaking natural wonders.
Audley Travel has continued to expand its Asia portfolio with the two new tours: the 10-day Uzbekistan Discovered and the 15-day Highlights of Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan’s Mountains & Uzbekistan’s Architecture.
Uzbekistan Discovered highlights some of the Silk Road’s most storied cities. Starting in Tashkent and ending in Samarkand, the itinerary combines breathtaking monuments, ancient cities, and immersive cultural experiences. Highlights include the UNESCO-listed city of Khiva, the famous Registan in Samarkand, and a crossing of the mighty Amu Darya River.
Highlights of Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan’s Mountains & Uzbekistan’s Architecture expands upon the previous tour, combining the culture and history of Uzbekistan with the natural wonders found in Kyrgyzstan. In addition to visiting the Registan in Samarkand and chances to explore Khiva, this 15-day tour includes opportunities to hike through Altyn-Arashan Valley, take in the scenery of the Tian Shan Mountains, and stay in a traditional yurt on the shores of Song-Kul.
This is the first time Audley Travel has offered U.S. travelers trips to explore these two counties. The tailor-made tour operator is also relaunching the countries as an option for U.K. travelers (Audley discontinued its trips to the region in 2020).
As with all of Audley Travel’s trips, the new itineraries are designed to be tailored for your client. Specialists can customize the trip with optional extensions or luxury upgrades.
“Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan are incredible countries with fascinating history and artistry, without the crowds encountered in so many other destinations. These are ideal destinations for adventurous travelers looking for something different for their 2026 trip,” said Lauren Coppola, regional product manager for Central Asia at Audley Travel.
