National Geographic Signature with G Adventures is expanding significantly following a successful early launch.
After opening bookings in January 2026 with an initial lineup of 32 trips, the company added 17 more this week to meet high demand. This rapid growth comes even before the official debut of the product, with the first departures scheduled for January 2027.
Unlike the standard “National Geographic Journeys,” the Signature line is positioned as a higher-end, “experiential luxury” product. Each trip features National Geographic Expedition Leaders and Expedition Experts—including photographers, archaeologists, and biologists—providing a deeper level of educational immersion than the standard itineraries.
“Right out of the gate, Signature clearly hit the nail on the head and has proved to be our most successful launch to date,” said Steve Lima, VP of growth for the US and Latin America. “The early success of the launch has seen a large percentage of repeat customers booking these trips, which is a testament to our and National Geographic’s brand reputations. It’s also been interesting to see that Signature appeals to a wide age demographic from 20-somethings to 80-somethings, proving that exploration, learning and adventure know no age boundaries!”
Among the 17 new trips are:
- Signature: Bhutan & the High Himalayan Valleys: An eight-day journey through the “Land of the Thunder Dragon” that includes private audiences with governance insiders, visits to the Tiger’s Nest, and meetings with local monks.
- Signature: Turkey’s Istanbul, Ephesus & Cappadocia: A 10-day expedition exploring millennia of history with rare access to archaeological sites in Ephesus and the volcanic landscapes of Cappadocia.
- Signature: Northern Spain’s Ancient Caves, Basque Coast & La Rioja: An eight-day itinerary that traces prehistoric human creativity in ancient caves and explores the culinary traditions of the Basque Coast alongside local experts.
- Signature: Canadian Rockies: An elevated exploration of Western Canada’s wilderness, focusing on wildlife conservation, geology, and mountain heritage.
