Intrepid Travel has announced that it will not introduce additional surcharges on existing or new bookings in 2026, as part of its commitment to stable, transparent, and flexible pricing.
The company said that during 2026, the price confirmed at the time of booking will be the final price travelers pay, even as fluctuating fuel, currency, and operational costs continue to impact the broader travel industry. Intrepid added that it will absorb these costs wherever possible, rather than passing them on to customers through post-booking surcharges, a move aimed at providing greater certainty and encouraging travelers to book with confidence.
“Travel should feel exciting, not uncertain,” said Christian Wolters, president of Canada at Intrepid Travel. “We know confidence matters when booking a trip, and that starts with clarity on price. Our focus is on delivering incredible, locally led experiences without unexpected add-ons or last-minute increases.”
Intrepid’s commitment applies to land tour bookings and flight-inclusive packages. It does not include Polar trips and tailor-made journeys.
In addition to not introducing surcharges, Intrepid is emphasizing clear, customer-first booking policies, including low deposits, straightforward cancellation terms, and flexible payment timelines. The company noted that specific conditions may vary depending on the region and trip type.
“At its core, this is about doing right by our customers,” Wolters added. “We believe in being upfront, standing by our pricing, and giving travelers the confidence to book their next adventure.”
