Passport Online Names Nagle As CEO Replacing Kott

by James Shillinglaw  December 12, 2016
Passport Online Inc. has named Rick Nagle as president and CEO replacing long-time president Greg Kott, who left to pursue other interests. Nagle has been a member of Passport’s board of directors since the company was founded in 1995.

Nagle said Passport Online will continue to innovate and escalate the importance of technology to help today’s travel agency community get stronger, smarter and more profitable. “I am looking to our executive management team to grow our industry partnerships, find technology investment opportunities and help us, as an organization, find new ways to immerse our customers in tech solutions,” he said.

Passport Online’s management team includes Marilyn Macallair, vice president of business development; Jeanne Colombo, vice president of supplier relations; Greg White, vice president of engineering.

Nagle has been a founding partner in five companies, including a NASDAQ publicly listed telecommunications company, Pillar Management Inc. He has an extensive background in entrepreneurial initiatives, helping him to have a strong understanding of the travel agency business. He has served as chairman of Angel Oregon and director of Oregon’s Entrepreneur’s Network and is a member of Keiretsu Forum and Portland Venture Group.

Passport Online most recently has been building cruise booking engines for a number of travel agency consortia and host agencies, as well as hundreds of independent agents. Its NexCite product, a travel agency website platform, will launch content rich destination pages, a large image library and new template options for all its website users this month.

Passport powers more than 6,000 individual agency websites and thousands of clone sites for host agency organizations as well. ESP, a social media posting product for travel agents, will end the year with nearly 1,500 travel agency business Facebook pages and more than one million consumer fans.
