VacationPort has announced the appointment of industry veteran Joe Maloney as its new president.

Maloney brings to the role more than two decades of executive leadership experience in the travel and cruise sectors. As president, he will guide VacationPort through its next phase of growth with a focus on innovation, partner engagement, and expanding its platform for suppliers and advisors.

Maloney joins the travel technology company from Mitsui Ocean Cruises, where he served as head of sales. During his time with the Japanese cruise line, he worked to expand trade relationships as part of the company’s North American growth strategy.

“Joe is exactly the kind of leader we envisioned,” said Randy Goodrich, founder of VacationPort. “He understands both sides of our business and brings a deep appreciation for the relationships that drive success in this industry. We’re confident he will build on our legacy and lead us into an exciting next phase.”

Throughout his career, Maloney has held several executive leadership positions in which he worked to expand distribution channels and drive revenue growth. He served as vice president, North America at Swan Hellenic, vice president, travel and retail operations for AAA Colorado, and vice president, U.S. sales and marketing, Scenic USA.

“VacationPort has built an incredible foundation and a trusted reputation across the travel industry,” said Maloney. “I’m excited to expand our platform and deliver even greater value to both our supplier partners and travel advisors.”
