Former Crystal Executive Walter Littlejohn III Named SVP, Travel at Smithsonian

A former Crystal Cruises executive has landed at Smithsonian Journeys.
Walter Littlejohn III announced on LinkedIn that he has started a new position as senior vice president of Smithsonian Journeys, a division of Smithsonian Enterprises. He reports to Smithsonian Enterprises President Carol LeBlanc.
A 30-year industry veteran, Littlejohn has curated a career in the cruise industry. He served as vice president, reservations at AmaWaterways from 2012 to 2016 before accepting the senior vice president & managing director role at Crystal Cruises.
In 2022, Littlejohn founded his own consultancy business. He served as strategic advisor to Silversea Cruises from 2022 to 2023.
Smithsonian Journeys is a tour operator owned by Smithsonian Enterprises, offering small group land tours, small-ship ocean cruises, river cruises, active journeys, private jet trips, and more.
“Walter is a seasoned travel industry professional with a proven track record for developing and operating high-quality, immersive and enriching travel experiences,” said LeBlanc. “I am confident that Walter will lead Journeys into our next phase of growth as we create more opportunities to inspire and educate the world.”
