The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies & Travel Advisors (ACTA) has put out a call for applications for two advisory groups for 2025: the Independent Travel Advisor (ITA) Committee and the Diversity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee.

ACTA committee membership offers travel trade professionals the opportunity to contribute to and shape the industry’s future within Canada. Committee members are able to network with other professionals as a representative for their agency while also helping to create a more inclusive and equitable travel industry.

The ITA Committee focuses on supporting independent advisors. Members collaborate on initiatives such as professional development programs and advocacy to address the unique challenges independent advisors face.

The DEI Committee focuses on creating a more inclusive travel industry within Canada. Members develop strategies to attract diverse talent to the industry and work to embed diversity and inclusion principles throughout ACTA.

ACTA is accepting applications for both committees until Jan. 31, 2025. Selections will be announced in February.

Applications can be submitted online by filling out the ACTA 2025 Committee Application form.
