Travel advisors and suppliers came together for a night of networking at TRAVELSAVERS Canada’s Dine & Discover event in Toronto on Wednesday evening.

The Spring Dine & Discover event, hosted at The Vue & Clubhouse Event Venues in Toronto, drew more than 130 guests, including 95 travel advisors from 27 local agencies, and 23 preferred partners.

Following an opening tradeshow and cocktail reception, advisors had the opportunity to meet with preferred partners for round table training sessions, where they could learn more about the latest product offerings, services, and trends.

“Tonight’s event is a perfect example of TRAVELSAVERS’ commitment to forming strong alliances between our members and preferred partners, and we love to introduce new activities like the trivia game to keep things fresh and exciting,” said Elizabeth Grundon, business analyst at TRAVELSAVERS Canada.

The night concluded with a family-style dinner and trivia game, with questions based on information about the partners. Susan Eliuk from Frontliners Travel Group came in first place, winning a free three-day stay at the Secrets Bahia Mita resort in Puerto Vallarta, compliments of Inclusive Collection.

Jane Clementino, TRAVELSAVERS’ senior vice president and general manager for Canada, said the night’s new format was created in response to feedback received from advisors and suppliers. “It’s about connecting,” she said. “This is the best way for you to see suppliers.”

At the end of the evening, Clementino thanked the suppliers for their ongoing support. “The suppliers were phenomenal,” she told the room. “We can’t do it without you.”

TRAVELSAVERS will host its next event, Travel Market, at the JW Marriott Marco Island Beach Resort in Florida from September 26 to 29, 2024. There will be two Canadian-exclusive events: one Friday evening and, for the first time ever, a Canadian-only lunch (also on the Friday).
