The 100% Pure New Zealand Specialist program will improve agent’s knowledge of New Zealand by learning each region’s attractions. To become a specialist, travel advisors must complete at least 10 online training modules, have spent at least three nights in New Zealand in the last five years and attend a local Tourism of New Zealand event.
Specialists will be invited to face-to-face seminars and roadshows. Over 2,000 American travel agents attended the Best of New Zealand roadshow this month, targeting agents on the Eastern Seaboard and in Texas. Around 40 New Zealand-based companies, from accommodation providers to skydive operators, joined the event to promote what the country has to offer.
Graduates will also receive preferential listing on Tourism New Zealand’s consumer website, as well as a certificate, use of the official logo and resource materials.
