CLIA Adds Travel Agency Executive Certification

Those in leadership positions at travel agency can now be certified with Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

CLIA this week announced that it has added a new Travel Agency Executive (TAE) Certification for people in executive, director, accounting manager, marketing manager, or another leadership roles at a CLIA Affiliated Agency.

 “CLIA is excited to offer the new Travel Agency Executive Certification as a tool for our agency leaders to strengthen their skills within the industry,” Stephani McDow, director, membership & professional development, said.

To qualify, applicants have to pass a number of online courses or live seminars through CLIA including “Developing Your Marketing Strategy,” “Customer Relationship Management,” “Effective Presentation Skills,” and more. They also must complete one elective training options, which include either any three additional CLIA courses or Travel Institute CTA, CTC, or CTIE designation.
