The Travel Institute Teams with Royal Caribbean for CTA Scholarships
by Jessica Montevago /The Travel Institute and Royal Caribbean International announced a new partnership that offers Certified Travel Associate (CTA) scholarships to graduates of Royal Caribbean University’s master’s degree program.
Both organizations have committed a total of $7,500 toward CTA certifications for master’s degree graduates of Royal Caribbean University. Through The Travel Institute, the contribution will cover more than 50 percent of the cost of the CTA curriculum for 40 qualifying travel partners.
“The more knowledge and resources our travel partners have, the better equipped they are to sell our cruises and bring their clients’ dream vacations to life,” said Vicki Freed, CTC, senior vice president, sales, trade support and service, at Royal Caribbean International.
Royal Caribbean’s recently enhanced online learning platform features three tracks: Campus Tour, Bachelor of Adventure, and Master of Adventure. Advisors who have completed the final segment of Royal Caribbean University can apply for the financial assistance by directly registering for the CTA program on The Travel Institute’s website.
As The Travel Institute’s training director, Guida Botelho, CTA, puts it, “Brand-specific training coupled with ‘job-readiness’ certification through The Travel Institute is a winning formula for success.”
