Yankee Leisure Group (YLG) has launched Amtrak Vacations and Railbookers in Canada, the company announced on Monday, providing more support to the local travel trade.

Canadian advisors will have access to benefits such as booking rail up to 24 months in advance; the ability to book in Canadian dollars; and commission on all components of a client’s itinerary. A complete FIT solution is available for pre- or post- cruise train journeys, multi-country trips, long-distance overnight hauls, and more.

Both brands will be distributing 2020 brochures featuring short- and long-haul products and experiences, as well.

To oversee the introduction of the two brands in the market and to lead the effort, YLG has appointed Cris David as vice president of sales in Canada. David previously served as president of guided vacation brands Contiki Holidays Canada and Insight Vacations Canada.

“The company’s meteoric growth over the last few years demonstrates the incredible value that YLG’s offering represents for consumers and travel agents alike,” David said in a statement.

YLG’s new Canadian outpost joins offices in London, UK; Boston, Massachusetts; Laguna Hills, California; and Sydney, Australia.

The independent rail vacation operator is a one-stop shop for rail, accommodations, activities, transfers, ferries, and inner-city transportation for worldwide rail vacations across U.S. cities, national parks, and destinations in Europe, Australia, Asia, and South Africa, with more than 3,000 products in 51 countries.

On Dec. 10, both brands will host a live webinar at 7am, 11am, and 2pm PST to announce their launch into the market. You can register here: https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/rt/1931889612063655426.
