Intrepid Group — the adventure travel company composed of Intrepid Travel, Peregrine Adventures and Urban Adventures — has opened applications for four travel agent fam trips to Mexico, Kenya, Indonesia and a soon-to-be-revealed mystery destination in 2019, aiming to “give agents an authentic and immersive look at 2019’s rising destinations.”

The trips include: Intrepid Travel’s Mexico Real Food Adventure, departing June 9; followed by Peregrine Adventures’ Indonesian Island Cruise, departing July 28; and Intrepid’s Kenya Wildlife Safari, departing Oct. 6. On Feb. 1, the company will announce a 10-day mystery trip, departing Nov. 9.

“We want travel agents to experience Intrepid Group’s diverse range of product — whether wildlife, cruise, food or community-based tourism — not only so they better understand the experiences offered on each trip, but so they can visit a new destination in a sustainable, experience-rich way,” said Shayna Zand, head of business development for Intrepid Group in The Americas. “We’re incredibly excited to change the way our travel agents see the world, helping them realize their travel dreams this year with four completely different adventures, on different continents.”

Travel advisors must apply and attend the mandatory webinar that is linked to the fam trip of choice. Following the webinar, travel agents must fill out the required post-webinar quiz and follow Intrepid Group Insiders on Facebook. The application deadline is Feb. 14. Successful applicants will be notified a minimum of 90 days prior to the fam departure.
