Air Canada’s Mark Nasr Named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award for 2026

Air Canada’s Mark Nasr Named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award for 2026

Air Canada EVP & Chief Operations Officer Mark Nasr has been named to Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 Award for 2026, one of the country’s leading recognitions of exceptional achievement, leadership and community contribution by Canadians under the age of 40.

At Air Canada, Nasr is responsible for delivering all aspects of safe, reliable and efficient operations, and elevating the customer experience throughout Air Canada’s worldwide network.

He has additional oversight for flight operations, the System Operations Control Centre, maintenance and engineering, airports, in-flight service, contact centres, international operations, crew planning and scheduling, regional express carriers, and onboard cabins and systems.

“Mark’s recognition as one of Canada’s Top 40 Under 40 is a fitting tribute to the breadth of his accomplishments and the impact he has had on Air Canada,”  said Vagn Sørensen, Chair of the airline’s board of directors.

“From leading the transformation of Aeroplan into Canada’s premier loyalty program, to advancing our digital capabilities, customer experience, product strategy and global brand, Mark has consistently combined vision, innovation and disciplined execution.”

Before assuming his current role, Nasr served as EVP, Marketing & Digital and President, Aeroplan. In that capacity, he oversaw the design of Air Canada’s products, services and customer amenities, as well as the airline’s brand, marketing communications and commercial sponsorships.

He was also instrumental in the recent launch of Air Canada’s Glowing Hearted brand experience, including the next generation of aircraft interiors that debuted on the Airbus A321XLR and that will roll out across the fleet over the next years. That same design ethos now guides the look and feel of the airline’s lounges, check-in areas, service standards, website and mobile app.

Air Canada says the roll-out of fast, free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan Members was also spearheaded by Nasr’s team, which also oversaw the improvement of the amenities and customer offerings across all cabins at Air Canada, with the notable introduction of premium snacks, complimentary wine and beer on every flight, and the ongoing cabin upgrades to the airline’s North American fleet.
