JetBlue Announces Plans for First-Ever Airport Lounges
by Daniel McCarthy /JetBlue is bringing airport lounges to New York and Boston, the first-ever lounges for the airline.
JetBlue will open its first lounge at John F. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFK) Terminal 5 in late 2025 and then its second at Boston Logan International Airport’s Terminal C soon after. The lounges, the carrier says, are specifically being built in order to add a new perk for its TrueBlue Mosaic loyalty members and its soon-to-be-announced credit card holders.
The lounges will be opened exclusively for those travelers—holders of that credit card, TrueBlue Mosaic 4 members, along with Transatlantic Mint customers (Mosaic 4 and Transatlantic Mint members also get a guest). JetBlue will also offer day passes and guest passes for purchase, depending on space availability.
“Lounges have become an essential offering for the growing numbers of customers seeking premium experiences, and JetBlue’s lounges will further boost the value of our TrueBlue loyalty program as we expand our portfolio of JetBlue credit cards,” Marty St. George, president of JetBlue, said in the announcement.
The New York lounge will span 8,000 sq. ft. while the Boston one will come in at 11,000 sq. ft. For comparison, Delta’s new Delta One lounge at JFK comes in at 39,000 sq. ft. while LaGuardia’s new Chase Sapphire Lounge by the Club comes in at 21,000 sq. ft..
JetBlue says both will offer a full-service bar, private workspaces with free and fast Wi-Fi, and complimentary food and drink options.
