5 Advisor-Friendly Rome Boutique Hotels to Know About
by Dori Saltzman /Italy consistently ranks as one of the top 10 tourist destinations world and Rome, the “Eternal City,” is part of the reason why. While many tourists are happy to stay at large, multi-floor hotels, some want something more intimate, with higher touch service and ambiances that make each stay something special.
Here are five boutique hotels in Rome that also happen to value the importance of partnering with travel advisors, rewarding advisors with commissions, discounts on personal stays, and extra amenities for clients.

Why Your Clients Will Love It:
2. Margutta 19
Why Your Clients Will Love It: Advisor-recommended Margutta 19 is located in the heart of Rome’s historic city center, within walking distance of the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Borghese Gardens, and more. Art lovers in particular will love the location of this 16-suite hotel on the quiet Via Margutta, which has long been known as an “artists’ street,” having been home to such noted artists, composers and filmmakers as Pablo Picasso, Stravinsky, Debussy, Puccini and Fellini. Amenities include king-sized beds, complimentary breakfast, an in-room minibar, Nespresso coffee maker and designer toiletries.
Why You’ll Love It: As a Hyatt member, travel agencies get all the same perks they do for any Hyatt property including a minimum commission of 10% on eligible stays (use chain code HY in the GDS), up to 50% off rates for personal stays, and extra amenities for clients, like free Wi-Fi. Alternatively, advisors can earn a 10% commission if booking through SLH (use code LX in your GDS). When booking directly with SLH, advisors’ clients will also receive all INVITED perks including 10% off the going rate.
3. Palm Suite
Why Your Clients Will Love It: This intimate boutique property has only five luxurious and spacious suites, each with its own unique – and sometimes quirky – décor. Located in an 18th-century palazzo, the Palm Suites is within walking distance of the Colosseum, Capitoline Hill, the Pantheon and the Forum. In fact, the Court Mixology Bar is situated next to the Colosseum for evening views that are unrivaled. Prices include daily breakfast and Wi-Fi.
Why You’ll Love It: Palm Suites, a Manfredi Fine Hotels property, and member of Small Luxury Hotels of the World, offers a standard 10% commission to travel advisors (whether booked via Manfredi, a GDS or SLH). The hotel also offers season-specific travel advisor pricing for personal stays (season specific), but advisors should email ahead of time to get pricing and make arrangements. Agencies that register with the Manfredi Fine Hotels Travel Agency Programme can also get preferred terms of sale, special offers at exclusive rates, a VIP welcome for personal travel, and a welcome offer exclusively for agency clients. Alternatively, advisors can earn a 10% commission if booking through SLH (use code LX in your GDS). When booking directly with SLH, advisors’ clients will also receive all INVITED perks including 10% off the going rate.
4. J.K. Place Roma
Why Your Clients Will Love It: The 30-room JK Place Roma is a contemporary hotel, located in the heart of Rome. Accented with marble fixtures and replica ancient statuary, it has a distinctly Roman feeling and is just a short walk away from the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Guests are personally greeted by the General Manager or Duty Manager on arrival with a signature drink in the library or living room.
Room rates include daily a la carte breakfast, in-room minibar with soft drinks and snacks replenished daily, and Wi-Fi. The hotel even partners with licensed historians who can take guests around the city on guided tours.
Why You’ll Love It: This advisor-recommended hotel works hard to make you look like a hero. The hotel works hard to guarantee your clients almost any room layout they want, plus they’ll always arrange for tailor-made amenities (seasonal fruits, local Italian wines, etc.) to be delivered upon your clients’ arrival with a welcome note from you. Commissions are 10% on net VAT rates and they offer special advisor rates upon request (excluding peak season from April 1 to October 31 and weekends). Advisors can book directly with the hotel, through Leading Hotels of the World or with their preferred GDS.
5. Singer Palace Hotel
Why Your Clients Will Love It: Housed in the former headquarters of the Singer Corporation, this 30-room boutique hotel is one of the highest-rated of all hotels in Rome on TripAdvisor. It’s also the only one that came recommended to TMR from more than one travel advisor. It’s centrally located, within walking distance of the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, the Spanish Steps and the Colosseum.
The 5th floor terrace with its breath-taking views was the singular reason one travel advisor recommended it! Room rates include welcome seasonal amenity, mini-bar and Wi-Fi.
Why You’ll Love It: Sometimes the main reason to love a hotel is because you know your clients will have a perfect stay there. With some of the highest ratings on various review websites, guests love staying at Singer Palace Hotel. It doesn’t hurt that the hotel also offers standard commissions of 10% and discounts of up to 10% off for personal stays by advisors. Bookings should be done via the GDS and the hotel lists all its GDS codes right on its homepage.
