Celebrity Cruises Adds Royal Caribbean's Perfect Day at CocoCay to Its Caribbean Itineraries
by Dori Saltzman /Celebrity Cruises is taking a page out of sister brand Royal Caribbean's playbook, adding both short three- and four-night sailings to its Caribbean deployment, along with regular stops at Perfect Day at CocoCay.
Starting next April, beach loving Celebrity cruisers will be able to enjoy the Caribbean year-round in a whole new way onboard Celebrity Beyond and Celebrity Reflection. With both ships in the region, Celebrity is doubling its number of year-round Caribbean sailings and introduces its first-ever weekend itineraries.
"Our customers are consistently asking for more opportunities to visit this stunning region year-round, have more weekend options so they can get away easier, and have expressed a desire for a private island destination," said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises. "By introducing this new program, we can meet this demand and offer something new and historic to all our guests."
For those unfamiliar with the destination, Perfect Day at CocoCay is a Bahamian island combining the best of thrill-seeking fun and beachside relaxation. Visitors can enjoy miles of white sand beaches, take a dip in the largest freshwater pool in The Bahamas, grab a drink at the swim-up bar, or get their adrenaline flowing with several waterslides, including the tallest in North America.
