Air Canada & Me: Airline Thanks Agents with New Aeroplan-Based Incentive Program

Air Canada and its flight attendants remain without a deal.

Air Canada is rewarding the loyalty of Canadian travel advisors with ‘Air Canada & Me,’ its first ever incentive program designed specifically for Canadian travel agents.

“Travel agents play a remarkable role in supporting the travel experience, uniting people day-in and day-out through their knowledge, expertise, and unwavering dedication,”, said Mark Galardo, EVP & Chief Commercial Officer and President, Cargo.

“Offering this program to travel agents reflects our commitment to travel professionals and our deep appreciation for the incredible work that they do every day.”

The free program rewards individual travel agents for choosing to book their customers on AC Connex, the airline’s next generation direct booking platform, using Aeroplan points as a key driver of the program.

Air Canada’s Lisa Pierce.

“Through our new Air Canada & Me program, we want to sincerely thank travel agents for their commitment — recognizing and rewarding their loyalty so they can enjoy all the exceptional benefits of the Aeroplan program.” adds Lisa Pierce, Vice President of Global Sales and Air Canada Vacations.

How it works: Tokens are rewarded at a rate of $1 booked and flown = 1 Token. Once agents have accumulated enough tokens, they can simply convert to Aeroplan points at a rate of 10 Tokens per point. Once points are transferred into the agents’ Aeroplan account, they can redeem for a wide variety of benefits, such as:

  • Redemptions on flights on Air Canada to our 180+ global destinations starting at as little as 6,000 points, as well as on 45+ partner airlines, allowing them to reach over 1,300 destinations worldwide.
  • The Aeroplan eStore, offering 2,000+ gift cards and merchandise options from brands like Apple, Dyson, Amazon and more starting at 3,200 points.
  • Redemptions for car rentals, upgrades, hotels, and other travel perks

Promotional multipliers and special promotions add to additional token earnings that they can take advantage of, getting agents closer to redemption. To keep the appreciation going, Air Canada is awarding all agents who sign up before October 31 a head start on earning with 500 bonus tokens plus a 5X tokens bonus on all flights to Europe.

Air Canada & Me is designed for all travel agents, regardless of their affiliations (IATA, TIDS). You can sign up for the program here.
