Porter, Transat Expand Sun Vacation Packages With New Aruba, Costa Rica Options

Porter Airlines and Transat are giving Canadian sunseekers more ways to escape the cold this winter, expanding their vacation package offerings with new destinations and departure cities across Canada.

The latest additions include nonstop Porter flights from Toronto Pearson and Ottawa to Aruba and Liberia, Costa Rica, with packages available for travel beginning November 1, 2026.

The expansion also brings Puerto Vallarta packages to travellers departing Edmonton, along with Cancun packages from Halifax and London, ON.

The new offerings build on the airlines’ previously announced vacation packages to popular sun destinations, including Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau and Grand Cayman, from several Canadian gateways.

For travel advisors, the growing partnership means more opportunities to package Porter’s flights with Transat’s selection of hotels and resorts across Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.

Packages include a curated selection of accommodations, ranging from all-inclusive resorts to European Plan hotels, giving travellers flexibility in how they vacation.

“The expansion of vacation packages from multiple gateways provides Canadians with more options, so they can travel in a way that works for them. Porter’s elevated flying experience paired with Transat’s trusted package expertise is opening up a growing portfolio of sun destination possibilities,” said Edmond Eldebs, senior vice president and chief commercial officer, Porter Airlines, in a press release.

Six Canadian Gateways, More Sun Options

With the latest additions, Transat vacation packages featuring Porter flights are available from six Canadian airports:

– Toronto Pearson (YYZ): Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau, Grand Cayman, Liberia and Aruba.

– Ottawa (YOW): Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, Nassau, Grand Cayman, Liberia and Aruba.

– Halifax (YHZ): Cancun.

– Hamilton (YHM): Cancun and Puerto Vallarta.

– London (YXU): Cancun.

– Edmonton (YEG): Puerto Vallarta.

Porter says additional routes and destinations will be incorporated into Transat’s vacation package portfolio as its sun network continues to grow.
