Top Family-Friendly Airlines: Air Canada Ranks 5th

Skytrax has named the World’s 10 Best Family-Friendly airlines and Air Canada has taken fifth spot- the only airline in Canada and the U.S to make the list.

The Most Family Friendly Airline Award is based on performance across a variety of factors that are important to families: family seating together, dedicated family check-in facilities, priority boarding, children’s meals, children’s amenities, toys and activity packs, child specific onboard entertainment, free checked luggage and policies for carrycot / pushchairs, and the standard of service assistance from ground staff and cabin crew during the travel experience

Lufthansa took the top global spot, ahead of British Airways in second place, Emirates in third position, and Singapore Airlines fourth, followed by Air Canada.

As Aviationa2z.com reports, at Toronto and Vancouver International Airports, families benefit from dedicated check-in counters, early boarding, and free guaranteed seating together for children under 14. Onboard, kids receive activity packs filled with games and colouring books, alongside child-friendly meals on international routes. Families can also check in pushchairs and car seats at no extra cost.

Earlier this year, Skytrax named Air Canada the Best Airline in North America, the Toronto Air Canada Signature Suite as the World’s Best Business Class Lounge Dining for the second straight year, as well as its flight attendants as Best Cabin Crew in Canada and North America. AC also took home honours for the Best Low-Cost Airline for its Rouge subsidiary, Most Family Friendly Airline in North America, Best Premium Economy Class Onboard Catering in North America, Best Business Class Onboard Catering in North America, and Best Business Class Lounge in North America.
