Royal Caribbean has released new details about its 200-acre Perfect Day Mexico private destination, set to open in 2027.
Starting this fall, your clients can book Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries including stops to Perfect Day Mexico sailing from Galveston, New Orleans and all Florida homeports.
This news expands the Perfect Day destinations lineup, which changed the status quo in 2019 with the introduction of Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. With both Perfect Day at CocoCay and Perfect Day Mexico, 90% of guests sailing the Caribbean with Royal Caribbean will get to experience a Perfect Day destination.
Royal Caribbean is further expanding its destinations with three additional exclusive experiences opening over the next three years, including Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in The Bahamas (December 2025 + sales beginning late May), Royal Beach Club Cozumel (2026) and Lelepa (2027).
And with Star of the Seas launching this August, Royal Caribbean will offer its first end-to-end experience, with stops in The Bahamas at Perfect Day at CocoCay and the soon-to-be-opened Royal Beach Club Paradise Island.
“We have spent the last 50 years shattering perceptions around cruising to transform into a global vacation brand for all generations. Now, we’re bringing our demonstrated history of unparalleled service and revolutionary innovation – everything our vacationers know and love – into our collection of destinations that offer more locally inspired perfect days and beachfront getaways,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO.

“Perfect Day Mexico is bigger and bolder than anything we have done to date. This destination will be the ultimate vacation for families, and we cannot wait to welcome adventurers from around the world to Mexico for an experience only Royal Caribbean can provide.”
Visitors to Perfect Day Mexico can expect:
Seven distinct neighborhoods for thrill and chill, and something for all vacationers.
Fiesta Plaza – A vibrant arrival area takes guests straight to the heart of Mexico with live music, dance and the world’s largest sombrero atop the Tipsy Sombrero bar.
Splash Cove – The neighbourhood for guests of all ages with the longest lazy river in the world; the brand’s largest Splashaway Bay and first Splashaway Cabanas; and a 100,000 square foot pool with central sandbar island.
Loco Waterpark – The waterpark with the tallest waterslide tower in North and South America will feature 5 slide towers with over 30 waterslides, adventure pools, and a wave pool.
Chill Beach North and South – Nearly two miles of white-powder beaches, complete with complimentary loungers and umbrellas, cabanas with private pools, and regionally inspired cuisine and drinks.

El Hideaway – A hidden enclave for adults with a zero-entry pool, swim-up bar, in-pool DJ and wide variety of cabanas including the Ultimate Party Cabana for up to 20 guests.
Costa Beach Club – A premium beach club with beach, elevated dining, and one of the best views in the Caribbean from its expansive infinity pool.
Thrills & Chills
Thrill-seeking cruises can conquer more than 30 adrenaline-pumping waterslides across five slide towers. The more than 170-foot-tall Jaguar’s Peak features two dueling slides, taking riders through more than two minutes of pure thrill and the longest coaster waterslide in the world. Many slides are multi-rider raft slides including the tallest family raft slide in North and South America, which has a raft for 4-6 riders.
On the chill side, Perfect Day Mexico will feature the longest lazy river in the world. Throughout the hour-long ride, guests can float at their leisure or choose a thrilling optional crazy section that has jet streams, waves and unexpected twists and turns. Guests can enjoy multiple entry and exit points, float-up bars along the lazy river, and a cupholder in every tube.
Perfect Day Mexico will also feature Royal Caribbean’s largest ever Splashaway Bay with slides for little ones and the first-ever Splashaway Cabanas close by for families with younger kids to have a home-base.
White sand beaches spanning nearly 2 miles allow vacationers to enjoy the natural beauty of Mexico. On top of spectacular ocean views, guests can bounce between six pools, with surface areas equivalent to four football fields, complete with always-complimentary loungers, umbrellas and towels.
A dozen regionally inspired dining options will be on offer, including sit down spots to grab-and-go eateries, alongside 24 bars, including six swim-up bars. Local Mariachi performances and local artisans for souvenir shopping will further bring the Mexican culture to life.
