Around the country, America is celebrating a momentous milestone: the Nation’s Semiquincentennial. For the average traveler, 2026 presents a compelling reason to delve into American history and heritage, participating in ceremonies, festivals, and other celebratory activities. For travel advisors, however, America250 represents an unparalleled opportunity to embrace domestic travel.

America250 is the official, nonpartisan initiative created to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The multi-year initiative brings together federal agencies, states, cities, museums, national parks, tourism organizations, and cultural institutions to mark the anniversary with various activities, ranging from historical reenactments and museum exhibitions to cultural events and fireworks displays.

This year more than ever, the U.S. offers a rich assortment of travel experiences that can appeal to a wide swath of travel styles and interests. From multi-generational road trips to guided land tours celebrating the nation’s birth, America250 provides advisors with countless ways to tailor itineraries to their clients’ tastes and preferences.

With so much happening for America250, there’s a lot of information for travel advisors to take in. That’s why Travel Market Report has produced its latest destination guide, America Turns 250! The Ultimate Travel Advisor Guide to Celebrating the Nation’s Semiquincentennial. The 34-page resource is packed with information on the cities, experiences, and travel trends that will define America250.

Inside America Turns 250!, advisors will find information on the experiences available in key American Revolution sites, sample itineraries, and even selling tips on how to position America250 to clients. The guide also goes beyond historic cities like Boston and Philadelphia to explore America250 celebrations around the country, including a chapter on the national parks, and even self-drive trips through small-town America.

Several TMR partners are operating specific U.S. tours for America’s 250th, which visit the cities and attractions highlighted in the guide.

TMR‘s latest destination guide is now available online for free. All destination guides, outlooks, and white papers can be accessed via the Resources page.
