Wymara Resort + Villas in Turks and Caicos has announced a new affiliation with Preferred Hotels & Resorts, an independent hotel brand representing more than 650 properties across 80 countries.
Wymara Resort, Grace Bay Beach joins the Legend Collection, a curated portfolio of exceptional luxury hotels and resorts distinguished by their individuality, personalized service and guest experiences, while Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove joins Preferred Residences, the brand’s collection of luxury residential-style accommodations.
Owned by Canadian entrepreneur Bruce Maclaren, Wymara brings a collection of international accolades to Preferred Hotels & Resorts’ global portfolio:
- Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove is the first and only property in Turks and Caicos to earn the coveted Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Award.
- Wymara Resort, Grace Bay Beach holds a Forbes Travel Guide Four-Star Award.
- The properties have also received international recognition, including a MICHELIN Key and honours in Condé Nast Traveler’s 2026 Readers’ Choice Awards.
“From the beginning, my goal was to build a resort where design, authenticity and the natural beauty of Turks & Caicos converge in a way guests can’t find anywhere else,” said Maclaren. “We are proud to take our place among the world’s most exceptional luxury hotels and introduce Wymara to an even broader global audience.”

Located on four acres of Grace Bay Beach, Wymara Resort combines the amenities of a luxury resort with the intimate atmosphere of a boutique hotel. Its 97 studios, suites and penthouses feature minimalist design, floor-to-ceiling windows and expansive ocean views. Dining is overseen by Director of Culinary + Executive Chef Andrew Mirosch, with three distinct venues: Indigo, Blue Water Bistro and Pink Bar.
Just a short drive from the resort, Wymara Villas, Sunset Cove is set on a secluded 15-acre peninsula overlooking the turquoise waters of Turks and Caicos. The collection of 15 one- to six-bedroom villas offers the privacy and space of a luxury residence, with contemporary architecture, expansive indoor-outdoor living spaces, private pools and panoramic ocean views. The peninsula is also home to Land + Sea, Wymara’s newest waterfront restaurant overlooking Sunset Cove.
“Wymara Resort + Villas is a distinctive addition to our portfolio, offering two exceptional expressions of luxury within one remarkable destination,” said Lindsey Ueberroth, Chief Executive Officer of Preferred Hotels & Resorts.
“From the refined beachfront experience on Grace Bay to the privacy and seclusion of the villas above Sunset Cove, both reflect the thoughtful design, personalized service and sense of place that define the Legend Collection.”
All guests of Wymara Resort + Villas are now eligible to enrol in I Prefer Hotel Rewards, the brand’s complimentary, points-based loyalty programme with more than 6 million travellers enrolled globally.
