Easter Island Awaits: ACV Expands South America Options with Focus on Chile

Air Canada Vacations is expanding its South America offerings with brand-new guided tours in Chile along with multi-country options including destinations like Peru and Colombia.

The new program complements ACV’s existing ePackages (Flight & Hotel) and Flight & Cruise vacation offerings. Travellers can now enjoy tours departing from Toronto to Santiago (SCL) five times a week, with connecting flights from over 50 Canadian airports.

“We’re thrilled to introduce these new tours to Chile, offering Canadians an incredible opportunity to explore one of South America’s most breathtaking and diverse destinations,” said Nino Montagnese, Vice President of Air Canada Vacations.

From city streets to soaring peaks, ACV invites travellers to discover Chile.

“It has always been our mission at Air Canada Vacations to inspire travellers to dream bigger and see the world — and Chile is just the beginning of that next great adventure!”

Air Canada Vacations’ Chile tour program offers seven expertly curated, fully guided itineraries, combining air, land, and sea travel to the country’s most iconic destinations. The selection enables your clients to explore Chile’s vibrant cities, stunning landscapes, and rich cultural history.

Evocative tour titles include: ‘From City Streets to Patagonia’s Peaks;’ ‘From City Lights to Desert Stars;’ ‘Chile’s Heart and Soul;’ and ‘A Journey Through Time and Culture.’

Highlights include the surreal Atacama Desert, the serene Altiplanic Lagoons, and Patagonia’s towering peaks, as well as the iconic Moai statues on Easter Island and the “crown jewel of the tour program,” a visit to the legendary Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu.

Each tour includes daily breakfast and select meals, with guaranteed departures for a minimum of two participants. Accommodations range from charming 3-star hotels to luxurious options, and travellers can earn Aeroplan points. Tours are available in English, with French-speaking guides upon request for an additional fee.

Chile is packed with natural wonders.

Discover three category types of tours from the Chile program:

Chile in All Its Glory Tours (8 days, 6 nights): A mix of cultural exploration and natural wonders, this tour visits Santiago’s vibrant city life, the Atacama Desert’s Moon and Mars Valleys, Rainbow Valley, and Altiplanic Lagoons. Unforgettable experiences include floating in the Cejar Lagoon and relaxing in the Lake Region. One itinerary includes a bucket-list trip to Easter Island’s Moai statues. All tours include guided experiences, accommodations, and transfers.

Chile and South America Trilogy Tours (13-16 days): Offering a deeper exploration of Chile, Peru, and Colombia, these tours feature Santiago, Easter Island, Bogotá’s historical treasures, Torres del Paine, Machu Picchu, and the Atacama Desert. Among the inclusions: guided excursions, culinary experiences, comfortable accommodations, domestic and regional flights, and private transfers.

Chile by the Sea: Luxury cruise lines like Silversea offer 18- to 19-night roundtrip journeys from Santiago. Flexible itineraries and routes are also available through ACV on Cunard, Azamara, Holland America, and Princess Cruises.
