Greater Miami & Miami Beach Reaffirm Commitment to Canadian Travel Trade

Greater Miami & Miami Beach Reaffirm Commitment to Canadian Travel Trade

Miami tourism players travelled north to meet advisors in Toronto.

The Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau (GMCVB), together with key destination partners, reaffirmed its commitment to the Canadian market last week, connecting with 54 Canadian luxury travel advisors at an intimate trade event in Toronto.

Key destination updates included new programming at JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa, including Cascata Sunset Sips, a weekly cocktail experience overlooking the resort’s signature water feature, and Off the Record, a live vinyl DJ experience.

Advisors also received updates on the 25th anniversary edition of Miami Spice Restaurant Months, which continues through September 30 and features more than 300 participating restaurants, along with the debut of Miami Spice Reserve, a new premium tier offering elevated dining experiences.

Held at Toronto’s Queens Harbour, the cocktail reception gave GMCVB and its partners an opportunity to share destination updates with travel advisors, while highlighting the Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s latest offerings and experiences for Canadian travellers.

Advisors connected directly with representatives from JW Marriott Turnberry Resort & Spa, Fontainebleau Miami Beach, UNFRAMED, Autograph Collection Miami Beach, Grand Beach Hotels and Sunny Isles Beach to learn more about their latest destination offerings. A Miami-inspired cocktail demonstration brought a taste of the destination to Toronto.

“Canada remains a key market for Greater Miami and Miami Beach, and maintaining strong relationships with the Canadian travel advisor community continues to be an important priority for us,” said Debra Lee, Director, Travel Industry Sales, Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau.

“Connecting with advisors in-market gives us the opportunity to share what’s new across the destination, strengthen our partnerships and continue building business connections that support travel to Greater Miami and Miami Beach.”

Canadian travel advisors can access destination information, sales resources and tools through the GMCVB’s Travel Professionals website. For travel advisor inquiries, contact Debra Lee, Director, Travel Industry Sales, at debra@gmcvb.com or (305) 539-3067.
