The Association of Canadian Travel Agencies and Travel Advisors (ACTA) partnered with the Los Cabos Tourism Board to host 24 ACTA member travel advisors on an Immersive Destination Learning Experience May 25-29.
Throughout the week, travel advisors participated in educational programming, destination site inspections, and immersive cultural and culinary experiences across San José del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas.
ACTA says the experience showcased the diversity of Los Cabos’ tourism offerings while providing advisors with valuable firsthand product knowledge to better support clients.

“When I saw that ACTA was hosting a Los Cabos Immersive Destination Experience, I was immediately drawn to the amazing learning opportunity that the itinerary offered,” said Jennifer McPherson, CTC, Turnkey Travel, TravelOnly.
“From gastronomy experiences to site inspections with incredible beaches and sunsets, the envy of any TikTok video, I can certainly see why this is emerging as a top sun destination. I have sent many clients to Mexican and Caribbean destinations, but this week I am falling in love with the variety of land and ocean experiences offered in Los Cabos, coupled with its fresh, artsy vibe. I will definitely recommend Los Cabos to my colleagues and clients.”
As part of the experience, advisors integrated social media throughout the week, sharing highlights from their time in destination and showcasing key experiences in real time. These posts helped amplify the advisor perspective and provided authentic, firsthand destination insights for clients and industry peers.

Reflecting the growing popularity of Los Cabos among Canadian travellers, several new air routes will launch for the upcoming winter season, making the destination even more accessible from Canada:
- Toronto–Los Cabos: Three times weekly beginning November 16 (Porter Airlines)
- Edmonton–Los Cabos: Four times weekly beginning November 16 (Porter Airlines)
- Ottawa–Los Cabos: Twice weekly beginning December 18 (Porter Airlines)
- Montreal–Los Cabos: Weekly beginning December 10 (Air Transat)
By combining education, site inspections, and firsthand destination experiences, ACTA says it aims to support travel advisors with the knowledge and connections needed to grow their businesses and better serve their clients.
