Collette to Hold Solo Travel Virtual Event This Week

by Marsha Mowers  March 16, 2026
Collette to Hold Solo Travel Virtual Event This Week

Solo travel is one of the most rapidly growing segments in travel and Collette is inviting travel advisors across North America to a special virtual event designed to help better understand and sell to the market.

The session will be held on March 19, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET, and advisors are encouraged to register along with their clients.

“As more travellers embrace the freedom of exploring on their own, especially women and those over 50, travel advisors need tools and knowledge to support them,” said Denise Sablone, Executive Vice President of Tour Design and Delivery. “This event is designed to help advisors understand the motivations, concerns, and opportunities within the solo market so they can guide and inspire their clients.”

The event, titled “An Inside Look at the Solo Travel Experience,” will feature guest speaker Elizabeth Simmons, an experienced solo traveller who will share her firsthand insights. During the session, advisors and interested solo travellers will hear real stories and practical advice covering:

  • What motivates solo travellers, especially those taking their first trip later in life
  • How guided travel provides safety, structure, independence, and connection
  • The unique needs and expectations of female solo travelers
  • Why small‑group touring resonates so strongly with the solo market

Collette says advisors will walk away with a deeper understanding of the emotional and logistical landscape solo travellers navigate and actionable ways to build their business within this expanding segment.

Advisors who are interested in registering for the event can do so here.  Access to an on-demand version will be available for those that register but are unable to attend the live event.
