Direct Travel Names New Chief Marketing Officer

Direct Travel has appointed Allison Breeding as its new chief marketing officer.

Breeding is an experienced executive leader specializing in global marketing in the tech space. 

In her new role, the C-suite exec will lead Direct Travel’s global marketing team, working to propel growth worldwide. Breeding with also help enhance the company’s strategic partnerships and supplier relationships.

Breeding joins from Apptio, and IBM company, where she has served as chief marketing officer since 2021. Previously, she held leadership roles at software and app solutions companies such as Anaplan, Docker, and Red Hat.

“This is an exciting time to join Direct Travel as we push the boundaries of innovation in corporate travel,” said Breeding. “I’m eager to work alongside this dynamic team to help shape the future of business travel. Direct Travel’s commitment to technology advancement, service excellence, and redefining the traveler experience is setting a new benchmark for TMCs.”

Direct Travel has been expanding its executive team since Concur founder Steve Singh acquired the company alongside investor groups last April.

In April, former Talend and Concur executive Christal Bemont took over Direct Travel’s CEO position, and Todd Pelletier and Scott Schwisow joined as chief sales officer and senior vice president, technology and strategy, respectively. 

Direct Travel subsequently named Michelle Sitzman as chief people officer in May, followed by Sarah Kuberry Martino as chief product officer in September. 

“Over the past year, we have intentionally strengthened our executive team to accelerate Direct Travel’s next phase of innovation and market leadership.
