At the 2025 GX Conference in Amman, Jordan, G Adventures and National Geographic Expeditions announced their entry into the luxury travel market with the launch of “National Geographic Signature with G Adventures,’ before an audience of more than 700 attendees.

Officially launching in January with its first departures a year later in January 2027, the new travel style will draw on National Geographic’s expertise in education and G Adventures’ powerful brand in the community tourism space.

Travellers seeking more than traditional “luxury” will now have the opportunity to experience destinations through a National Geographic lens and unique immersive approach to exploration, with a focus on socially conscious experiences that benefit local communities.

Launching with 29 itineraries across South Africa, Vietnam, Japan, Central Asia, Peru, Jordan, and more, the Signature series combines high-end accommodations and service with National Geographic’s hallmark focus on education, science, exploration, and storytelling.

G founder Bruce Poon Tip said the introduction of National Geographic Signature with G Adventures marks an exciting new opportunity for both travellers and travel advisors.

“Over the past decade we have worked side-by-side with National Geographic to develop new ways to allow travellers to see the world. United by our shared vision that travel can be transformative, we knew there was a huge opportunity to develop a more conscious and meaningful way to travel within the luxury sector,” Poon Tip said.

“Signature opens doors to a new segment of discerning clients for the travel trade and the launch of National Geographic Signature with G Adventures poses a huge opportunity for our community of travel agents. These new trips will allow agents to offer their most discerning clients an experience that satisfies both their intellectual curiosity and desire to contribute positively to the world.”

Each trip will be built around three core pillars:

  • ‘Leading Experts and Signature Moments’ with insider access and behind the scenes tours of museums and historic sites.
  • ‘Private Cultural Encounters’ with exclusive dining in extraordinary settings and community connection and impact that are designed to strengthen local communities, support artisans and locally owned businesses.
  • ‘Elevated Comfort and Service’ with small group sizes (maximum 22 guests), private transfers, dedicated Expedition Leaders, and a 24/7 pre-trip concierge to deliver a seamless luxury experience.

While many high-end travel experiences focus solely on comfort and exclusivity, these adventures are specifically designed to create meaningful, lasting benefits for local communities, from supporting artisans and experts to selecting high-end locally-owned accommodations wherever possible.

The partners say this approach appeals to today’s discerning and socially conscious affluent consumers who increasingly seek experiences that align with their values while maintaining the exceptional quality and service they expect. Experiences will emphasize cultural immersion and intellectual curiosity, paired with G Adventures’ 35 years of community tourism expertise.

“National Geographic Signature with G Adventures is about so much more than just high end accommodations,” said Poon Tip. “These trips offer transformational adventures with the opportunity to see and experience a destination in a way most travellers can’t, while creating lasting benefit for both the traveller and the communities they visit.
