Suppliers Weigh In on the Value of Travel Market Place Events

Travel Market Place events in Vancouver, Toronto and Calgary in 2025 have wrapped and we’re gearing up for our 2026 events which will include Montreal for the first time.
The events provide an unparalleled opportunity for travel advisors to connect with fellow travel professionals, participate in educational seminars and network with suppliers, all with the goal of growing their business. TMP events are built for professional development, learning, and industry networking — not festivals.
That engagement is something that’s equally important to the suppliers who take part and something TMP is proud to offer.
“Engagement and education are at the heart of what we do, especially when things can change so quickly,” Sean Russo, National Sales Manager for Virgin Voyages, told us. “TMP events give us a chance to connect face-to-face with advisors, share updates, and really listen to what’s happening in their world. For us, it’s not just about showing up, it’s about being part of the ongoing conversation that helps everyone grow both their client base and their bottom lines.”
Brian Joseph, BDM Ontario, Hyatt’s Inclusive Collection, agrees.
“The events attract some of the best travel advisors in the industry, and there’s also time to network and have meaningful discussion over a few days. Not only do I see advisors who are strong sellers, but managers and owners see this event as a great space to help newer or struggling advisors to make connections and learn. Participants range for brand new to very experienced and the format of this event is unlike any other.”
Both Russo and Joseph say they can feel the enthusiasm in every conversation, as they meet with business owners and experienced sellers who want to deepen their knowledge. They say they hear many comment on how much they can learn and be inspired at the various sessions, presentations and panels.

“The advisors we meet at TMP are fantastic – passionate, curious, and genuinely invested in learning,” said Russo. “The feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Advisors love how well-organized the events are and how easy it is to have meaningful conversations, not just quick handshakes or simply collecting stamps on a piece of paper.”
“I would suggest to advisors they take the time to try it at least once, to see if they agree that it’s a superior event for professional development,” said Joseph. “I know TMP will continue to always put the travel advisor first and foster a space that nurtures their needs and development.”

“TMR Canada does an incredible job bringing the industry together in such a positive, engaging way. The TMP shows strikes a perfect balance between education and connection, and they’ve built a space where advisors and suppliers can truly collaborate,” adds Russo.
We always leave feeling energized and grateful to be part of it.”
