Goway Set For Next Stage of Micro Film Festival

Goway Set For Next Stage of Micro Film Festival

After 55 years, Goway Travel continues to expand.

As part of the year-long celebrations for its 55th Anniversary, Goway invited travel advisors to submit 55-second travel videos for a chance to be screened at events in Los Angeles, Toronto, and online. There are prizes on the line too — $55,000 worth in fact.

One lucky travel advisor will win a completed passport with the GowayPro Passport to a Free FAM program, which provides a free FAM trip with Goway next year.

They’ll also win a trip for two to attend the Los Angeles Micro Film Festival event on September 18, including flights within North America, three nights hotel stay, and $550 on their GowayPro Virtual Rewards Card.

The Micro Film Festival is a celebration of short-form content and the power of video to inspire others to live a life of travel.

Submissions were required to feature inspirational travel experiences across Goway’s 115 countries on all seven continents and to showcase the variety and excitement that comes with a life of tailor-made travel.

Goway’s Mitchell Fawcett (VP Marketing) & Bronwyn Hodge (VP Communications).

Mitchell Fawcett, VP of Marketing for Goway, says the special travel advisor category has seen incredible creativity with entries from all ages, as the industry champions social media storytelling.

“At Goway, we love celebrating our travel advisors,” says Renee Stanton-Defaria, Goway’s Director of Sales, “and there is no better way to celebrate them than to highlight their incredible adventures around the world. Our Micro Film Festival will showcase the unique perspectives of our travel community and celebrate their creativity on the largest stage possible.”

The next step in the contest will take place in Toronto on September 11. The Audience Choice event will screen shortlisted films and the audience will cast votes for their favourites.

Then, in Los Angeles on September 18, The Grand Finale event will be held. A panel of judges from the travel, tech, and social media industries will select the travel advisor with the winning film.
