That’s A Wrap: G’s Travel Your Heart Out Roadshow Raises $10K for Planeterra

That’s A Wrap: G’s Travel Your Heart Out Roadshow Raises $10K for Planeterra

The G Adventures Travel Your Heart Out Roadshow not only reminded us what’s important, but delivered an impressive impact for community tourism projects worldwide.

By the time all the purple confetti was swept off the floor, 500 trees were planted in a “G Forest” via its Trees for Days program and $10,500 CAD was raised for Planeterra, G Adventures’ non-profit partner supporting community tourism projects worldwide.

The cross-country roadshow was a national agent appreciation initiative that engaged hundreds of Canadian travel advisors across Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Montréal and Halifax this past month. It focused on the growing importance of community tourism, the role of purpose-driven travel in client satisfaction, and the introduction of G Adventures’ new premium offering, National Geographic Signature expeditions.

Tourism partners from Peru, Costa Rica, Colombia and Portugal participated throughout the series, providing Canadian advisors with destination updates and insights into evolving community-based experiences. As a thank you, G Adventures also gave away 15 trips, including six each to Colombia and Portugal, and three to Costa Rica, plus an additional $5,000 CAD in prizing.

“The most important part of this tour was to say thank you,” said David Green, Managing Director, Canada for G Adventures, who hand-carried plush keychains all the way from Kym Viet – a Planeterra project in Vietnam – as a personal gift for every attendee who donated over $60.

“We know it’s been a high-pressure climb for advisors lately, navigating a world that hasn’t always made this job easy. But, seeing the sheer resilience and heart in the room at every single stop was a powerful reminder that this community is the heartbeat of everything we do. Our advisors aren’t just booking trips, they’re true catalysts for change. They help ensure that the wealth from tourism stays exactly where it belongs – in the hands of local people. To every agent who joined us: we see your hustle, you are absolute legends, and G Adventures will always have your back.”

“The energy in the room at every single stop was electric, and it was all fueled by the people who make this industry move,” says Erin Rogers, National Sales Manager at G Adventures. “Raising over $10,000 for Planeterra is a massive win, but the real highlight was seeing our partners realize the scale of the impact they create every time they hit ‘confirm.’

Whether it’s connecting a client with a National Geographic Signature trip or growing a forest one travel day at a time, Canadian agents are proving that they don’t just see the world, they help it thrive. This tour was for them.”

For those who were unable to attend the roadshow but wish to contribute to the mission, donations to Planeterra can still be made here.
