G Adventures Kicks Off Sports-Themed Small Group Tours

G Adventures has announced a new collection of small group tours created for European football enthusiasts.

Dubbed Away Games, the collection features trips that were designed for fans of football (or soccer, as it’s more commonly known in the U.S.). Itineraries include VIP access to in-demand matches, matchday experiences, insider access, and guided tours of local attractions. Match tickets for the itinerary’s focused fixture are guaranteed.

The premium small group tours are focused on destinations known for the sport, including London, Manchester, Madrid, and Barcelona. The Away Games collection is launching with more than 30 departures beginning in October 2026, and will follow the English football calendar. Further departures in Spain will be added next month when Madrid and Barcelona matches are revealed.

The announcement marks G Adventures’ first foray into the rising niche of sports tourism. The collection brings together like-minded travelers for a bucket-list experience: Not only do the itineraries provide an opportunity for football lovers to experience these matches alongside other passionate fans, but they also remove the friction of securing tickets and navigating unfamiliar territory.

At launch, itineraries include: Fulham FC: London Beyond the Pitch; Tottenham Hotspur: London, Inside the Game; Arsenal FC: The Pride of North London; Chelsea FC: West London to Pitch City; Manchester City: More Than Matchday; and Manchester United: From the Stands to the Streets.

“Away Games is about much more than watching a match. It’s about belonging and being part of something bigger,” said Yves Marceau, vice president of product at G Adventures. “It’s about singing with locals in supporter pubs, celebrating a last-minute goal with fellow travelers after the final whistle, and experiencing a destination through the lens of its football culture. We saw an opportunity to create something completely new in the adventure travel space, and we’re incredibly excited to bring fans together in a way only G Adventures can.”
