TDC Invites Entire Industry to Free Wellness Webcast in Appreciation of Advisors

Transat Distribution Canada’s General Manager Karine Gagnon.

Transat Distribution Canada (TDC) is marking National Travel Advisor Appreciation Day with a special initiative open to the entire industry, for the second year in a row.

TDC is offering travel professionals from all networks a complimentary wellness break amid their busy schedules, in the form of a free live webcast led by health and wellness expert Scott Simons. Entitled “From Reactive to Proactive in 61 Minutes,” it will take place on May 14.

“People are at the heart of our business,” said TDC General Manager Karine Gagnon. “Human beings creating experiences for the benefit of other human beings. And at the core of it all are travel advisors. They listen, guide, reassure, and transform the desire to escape into concrete itineraries. They bring ideas to life. In a world where artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly prevalent, their expertise is a safe and reassuring anchor for travellers.”

With this in mind, TDC’s General Manager has a message for the entire industry:

Wellness expert Scott Simons.

“To honour the contribution of travel advisors, we want to proudly and clearly highlight the importance of their role. In fact, we want to say thank you to the women and men who embody the travel experience every day, across all networks, by gifting them a live wellness webcast—an energy stopover—for the second year in a row.”

Gagnon says the wellness webcast is designed to help listeners move away from a constant sense of urgency, better manage their energy, and preserve breathing space—even when the pace is intense.

A health and wellness expert and keynote speaker for more than 20 years, Simon says that In the travel advisor profession it’s easy to slip into reactive mode: emergencies, unexpected situations, last-minute changes.

“I genuinely want to demystify the first steps toward taking control of one’s health. Too often, we think it has to be complicated, intense, or perfect. In reality, it starts simply, here and now, with small, repeated, conscious actions,” he states.

He concludes: “I find it powerful that an organization is sending such a strong message to an entire industry: slow down to move forward more effectively, choose yourself in order to perform better. I’m honoured to support travel advisors on this energizing stopover with TDC!”
