Not even a torrent of west coast rain could dampen the excitement last week when lower mainland advisors assembled as the audience for the “Not Even Close to Late Show.”
The October 1 event, early by design, brought out BDMs from travelbrands (organizer Janita Hubbard), Hyatt Inclusive Collection (Freddie Marsh), Sandos Resorts (Emily Spadafora), Azamara Cruise Line (Colin Price) and Carnival Cruise Line (Melody Audet).

Suppliers took the stage individually for a Q&A allowing them to share news and updates about their products. The unique interview format allowed the host to strategically plug the different promotions within the Encore cruise program and the Travelbrands Access+ booking platform with guests.
Advisors enjoyed the opportunity to not only learn about the products, but also the people behind the brands, forming an even stronger working relationship.
“As a former advisor, now a BDM, but simply as a human, I realize that it is invaluable to create an authentic and true connection with people,” said travelbrands BDM Janita Hubbard.

“We can’t always expect to ‘get’ from people, without ‘giving’ and there is nothing more valuable to people than your time. At the end of the day, advisors will take business to where they want to go, and who they want to work with, knowing we are behind them.
Hubbard added: “’We’ve Got Your Back’ is one of the most important philosophies at Travelbrands, not only for clients in destination, but for advisors, always.
“I had a great time meeting and catching up with the reps and agents,”said Saneeta Boparan, Destination Wedding Specialist with Liz Moore Destination Weddings.
“You all put together something genuinely different — and it showed. The “Not Even Close to Late Show” concept was creative, fun, and honestly just a great night out. It’s nice to leave an industry event feeling like you really enjoyed yourself — this was one of those nights. Thanks for raising the bar.”
